"I'VE ALREADY sent people to investigate the fertility center," Nikolai informed Nichole. "I'll update you soon."
"Thank you, Nikolai-ssi."
Nikolai kind of felt awkward now that only he and Nichole were talking.
His wife, Mona, encouraged him to talk to his half-sister alone.
[And here we are now.]
By "here," he meant Nichole's café called 'Drinks for the Princess Royal.'
It was closed because of the kidnapping incident.
Even so, Nichole still made coffee for Nikolai.
"Nikolai-ssi, I know that you helped me because we have a common enemy," Nichole said carefully, and she was probably referring to her mother-in-law when she said "common enemy." "However, I still feel like there's something else I need to know."
Oh?
"Nikolai-ssi, did you really not come to this village to meet me?"
To be honest, the reason Mona encouraged Nikolai to talk to Nichole in private was for him to inform his half-sibling about his father.
[I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.]
