Tarnach – Tribunal Chambers
The hearing was held in a low-ceilinged, windowless hall at the back of the local records office. Three high-backed chairs stood at the far end, each occupied by a judge in muted ceremonial attire.
Emeric stood beside Randrick, with Perrin and a quietly anxious Jarro behind them.
To the right, the accuser: a stern-faced man draped in Grenthar red, flanked by two silent guards and the very same patrol that had detained Jarro.
One of the judges, a rotund scribe with sunken eyes, called the chamber to order. "Present your case."
The Grenthar representative stood first, his voice smooth and practiced. He recounted the 'witnessed theft' by Jarro, their prompt action, and the evidence — the satchel and the contents within.
Emeric stepped forward.
