Nothing much went on in the camps while Cedric was away. There were no surprise invasions, no accidents, or anything that really needed his immediate attention. And with others covering for him while he's away, there wasn't much paperwork on his desk upon his return.
Cedric was still marveling at the changes he experienced after his breakthrough. Even as he sat there doing nothing, new insights about concept laws came to him naturally.
Those who saw him initially thought that Cedric failed his breakthrough. Their basis was the fact that there were no real stark differences in his physical appearance. But this was quickly debunked by the Chancellors, saying that his experience was just different. Besides, even though there aren't any 'real' changes to him physically, his appearance was still greatly enhanced.
