Arriving at the door of the guest room where Ling Chen and Lin Yu were staying, the Family servant cautiously approached and knocked.
"Young Hero, Young Master Lin Yu, your dinner has been delivered."
"Come in!" Ling Chen's voice called out.
SQUEAK!
Pushing the door open, the Family servant delivering the meal entered, his heart pounding with trepidation.
"Put the wine and dishes down. You may leave," Ling Chen said calmly, his eyes still closed.
"Yes." Beads of sweat formed on the Family servant's forehead. Hearing Ling Chen's words, he felt as if he'd received a pardon and quickly turned to leave the room.
Nearby, Lin Yu walked over, uncovered the dishes, and prepared to eat.
"Don't eat." Just as Lin Yu was about to pick up his chopsticks, Ling Chen suddenly spoke.
"Why?" Lin Yu stopped abruptly.
"The wine and dishes have likely been poisoned."
