Lena took him inside
"Are you okay" she asked and he smiled
"Thank you I miss you asking that" he said
Lena had a mask on
"Won't You take the mask off? You know even with the mask I will still remember you. I will never forget the eyes that rescued me, that made me breathe normal again. Lena why did you leave and for so long?"
You told me to leave you alone, your wish was for me to go and I wanted to keep my promise"
"But you never left, you were behind me " he said
"I kept my promise. before I made that promise I had already made another one to always be behind you when you turn"
" I am grateful you kept your promises to me
I didn't mean what I said I was scared because I didn't want you to be hurt" he said
"It's ok, let me cook you something"
Lena cooked for him and served him
"You look pale and thin, haven't you been eating well?"
"I was a little busy but with you here everything will be fine" he said and started to eat, he paused for a moment to look at her
"Why are you staring at me"
"You're beautiful Lena, you're everything I imagined that makes me wonder why the mask in the first place"
"I thought it was easier to share your feelings and thoughts with a stranger, someone you know you won't meet again, someone you would never remember even if they walk pass you"
"Do you know how scared I was when you left
I thought I wouldn't be able to see you again and that thought scared me please don't leave me again. You have become important to me more than you ever will imagine" he said
"Even I didn't want to leave that's why I stayed, you're also important to me" Lena said in her mind
"I am coming" he said and rushed to his room, he went to the bathroom and vomited everything he had ate, he cleaned his face
"Come on Aidan, she can't see you like this"
He put on his happy face and took something from his drawer
"Here look at this, I had this sketch made of you even before you showed me your face. You're just like I imagined" he said with a smile
They talked for a while and it was getting late
"Will I see you tomorrow? The truth is I don't want you to go because I am scared that I won't see you again"
"I promise I will come tomorrow and you know I always keep my promise when it comes to you"
He hugged her and kissed her cheek
"Uhm Aidan are you okay?"
"Why?"
"Your eyes tells me you're not"
"I am just tired"
"Aidan see the doctor tomorrow please"
"Ok I promise"
In the morning he went to see the doctor
"Aidan could it be a reoccur??" The doctor said
"No! I have not been eating well I have a lot on my mind and Lena had left but now that she's back everything will be ok"
"Let's run further test just to be sure"
"Doc I am fine just give medication for me to eat well" he said and he did
When he got out of the hospital his smile faded, he looked worried
"I want to be happier" he said
he called Lena
"Lena come with me, Give me three days of your time I want to spend time with you I miss you so bad it's been a year since I got you to myself…..I will pay you for the money you will miss during those days"
He said and even though it was out of the blue, she still smiled
"I miss him too, it's been a year." She thought and agreed
