The wrap around Koizumi's eyes flapped in the wind as she felt the immense heat radiating off of this sand kunoichi, three balls made of scorch release circled her.
Just being near the balls of orange fire dried up her mouth and she smelt the burning hair and flesh of the surround civilians who were watching the Chunin exams, and were now caught under a Genjutsu.
'Pakura of the Scorch Release, an S rank Ninja, one touch from her jutsu will instantly evaporate every ounce of water from my body. A prolonged fight with her is death sentence for me and certainly for the surrounding civilians, I have to end this as quick as possible!'
Koizumi didn't answer her but instead unsheathed her blade, revealing a dark purple blade! The heavy adamantine blade that young Chiba had to use his devil fruit to move, was now being wielded effortlessly by Koizumi!
Stepping forward with the blade in her right hand, Koizumi's left hand made the Ram hand sign. Water began pouring out of her hand, wrapping around the blade like a sheath.
Grabbing the blade with two hands, Koizumi slashed forward and the water on her blade was sent flying in an arc! As the water neared Pakura, it got turn into mist the moment it got too close but that was exactly what Koizumi was going for!
Dashing into the mist, Koizumi cleaved in half one of the scorch balls in her way and immediately felt an overwhelming dryness dehydrate her but didn't stop.
The purple blade was scalding her hand from cutting the jutsu but she couldn't do anything about it, she could only continued on with the handle burning her.
Her blade moved swiftly and met the kunai of Pakura, cutting through the sand ninjas weak steel knife and nearly killing Pakura when suddenly a scorch ball came flying at her.
Before she could kill her, Koizumi had to jumped back as a ball of heat whizzing past her head but still felt the affects.
Multiple orange balls began manifesting in the air before being launched at Koizumi, like hot knife through butter she began slicing through the scorch balls with ease but found herself getting further and further away from Pakura as she felt herself getting hotter and hotter.
'It seems she can only create and manipulate her scorch release to create balls of chakra, just a minute more of this fighting will probably kill me from dehydration. I assume water release is her weakness but it's also my weakest affinity, I barely know a few C ranked water jutsu... Her close quarters combat is excellent and when paired with those scorch balls...My swordsmanship stands no chance at stoppin her, I'll need to survive long enough so that a ninja proficient in water Jutsu can hel...."
As she had this thought, Koizumi who had been looking for an escape plan, came to a stop as she realized just how pathetic her mentally was.
Chiba was her sensei, he taught her everything she knew about swordsmanship! Her swordmanship now rivals the swordmanship of the young Chiba that taught her, maybe even surpassing him.
Koizumi was carrying Chiba's torch and admitting that her swordsmanship couldn't defeat Pakura was admitting that Chiba wasn't good enough, and that simply could not stand!
While she didn't know the full details, the Hokage himself had told Koizumi that Chiba only became so injured after defeating a man that even Minato couldn't fathom beating alone.
With her mind cleared, Koizumi stood straight as her blade slid back into the sheath. Opening her mouth slightly, Koizumu began whistling a chakra filled tune.
Pakura cautiously looked around and used the genjutsu release technique in confusion, normal one wouldn't be so blatant about using genjutsu as it would be easily dispelled, but Pakura couldn't have know this genjutsu wasn't for her!
As the gentle melody of her own whistling entered her ears, Koizumi perception began to alter.
The soreness of her muscles disappeared, the pain of burnt flesh was gone and the fear of death was tuned out. Koizumi's genjutsu tuned out all distractions, all that mattered was the task at hand.
She no longer cared about protecting the village and it's people or even Chiba's Honor, all that mattered to Koizumi right now was killing Pakura!
This genjutsu that she created was called, 'False Flow state!'
It was a self imposed genjutsu that she perfomed on herself, allowing her to draw out 100% of her abilities akin to that of opening her first chakra Gate!
As the world faded out of her mind, her body began contracted all of her muscles and veins began bulging all over her body when she suddenly disappeared.
Like a bolt of light Koizumi appeared before Pakura, her sword slashed through multiple scorch balls that tried to defend the attack and was already an inch away from cutting Pakuras head off.
The purple blade reached its target and decapitated the sand ninja, except Koizumi didn't feel the sensation of cutting meat, instead it felt like she just cut air!
The head and body of the Pakura she cut lost shape and suddenly turned into the orange chakra of the scorch release before exploding!
The superheated chakra burst forth and washed over Koizumi, sending her flying back and burning her body from head to toe.
Pakura, who had just used substitution jutsu with a scorch clone, was grabbed onto her neck as blood began to pouring down it. While she had perfomed the substitution jutsu, it wasnt quick enough to fully avoid Koizumi flawless and fast movement!
Pakura had lost a large amount of chakra defending the attack and her neck had a deep gash, if she hadn't seen koizumi crumpled on the floor after the attack she would've fled already!
If Koizumi was fighting someone on her own level then she would've easily won, she was one of the strongest Jonin in the world but sadly she wasn't fighting another Jonin.
Pakura was a kage level opponent who had one of the strongest kekkai genkai in the world, it was already impressive enough that she nearlt decapitated her.
As she laid collapsed on the floor, she could easily feel the heat in the environment rising as even the floor she was laying on began to burn her, breathing in the hot air was painful.
"You were every bit as impressive as I've been told, so impressive that I can't safely take you in alive like the Kazekage wanted. Die, Koizumi of the invisible blade..."
Pakura raised her hands in the air, multiple balls of scorch release began to fuse, combine, and spin together to form a large ball of heat.
By this point all of the civilians around them had been dead, all off their bodies evaporated of it's liquid, leaving dry and burnt husks. This attack of hers could wipe out large sections of forest and turned it to ash, and she was going to use it within the Konoha arena!
"Scorch Release: Great Explosive Blas-" *BOOM*
From the sky, something or someone came meteoring down and landing directly onto the jutsu, cutting the attack in two before the two halves sunk into the ground.
As the explosion from cutting it in half began expand outward, an invisible force could be seen crushing the jutsu into the ground, creating a large dent from the immense gravity.
The ground turning into lava from the heat and pressure, yet despite this overwhelming heat the atmosphere turned freezing cold as an unfathomably wave of bloodlust poured out the man who cut the jutsu in two.
Through the pain and injury, Koizumi looked up with tears streaming out of her wrapped eyes and down her burnt cheeks.
She couldn't see him, she couldn't even sense the man's chakra as he had none, she couldn't smell anything other than burnt flesh and hear anything through her ringing ears drums but despite all that, she knew. She could just somehow tell.
"Big brother....Chiba...."
