I saw that Samantha was already decorating the living room and the garden for the welcome party for Jacub. I went to check on Iris and the twins. Once I opened the door, I saw Iris feeding Lily while playing with Amelia. That sight brought a smile to my face. I went up to them and sat on the bed next to Iris and Amelia. Iris looked up and smiled at me. I leaned down and kissed her softly.
Amelia turned her gaze toward me and started to reach out for me. I took her and placed her on my lap, while Iris continued to feed Lily. I rubbed Amelia`s back softly with my claws as Iris fed Lily. Amelia cooed happily, grabbing onto my finger, giggling. I smiled down at her and kissed her small head softly.
How did you sleep, my love?´ I asked her while playing with Amelia. ´I slept well, Kale. I was scared that I wouldn´t be able to find you three.... That I lost you three forever....´ She spoke up with a bit horse voice. I stopped playing with Amelia, feeling guilty for leaving when she needed me. She must have sensed my guilt and reached out to me. I sat closer to her, and she rubbed my cheek gently. I closed my eyes and leaned into her gentle touch. I was about to doze off, but a knock on the door stopped me from doing so. I groaned but got up and opened the door. I was surprised to see Poppy standing in front of me.
´Is there something wrong?´ I asked her in a gentle tone. She shook her head and glanced up at me. ´I....I wanted to talk to you alone if that is okay, alpha...´ She spoke almost in a whisper. I glanced back at Iris, and Iris smiled back at me and nodded for me to continue. I smiled back at her and walked out, closing the door behind me. I led Poppy to my office, and we sat down. ´So, what is it that you wanna talk about?´ I asked her curiously, and she was tugging on her clothes before looking up at me. ´You said that you have a mate, are you looking for another one? Or maybe a nurse for your future pups?´ Her questions caught me off guard, not knowing how to answer that. She seemed really nervous, and I wondered why. ´No, I´m not. And I don´t know if I ever will.´ I responded truthfully to her last question. Her mouth hung open slightly, clearly stunned by my statement.
´But... Why not? You are the alpha of the pack, and you should have more than one mate. More than one person who could carry your pups.´ She added, My face hardened by the answer. ´Let me stop you right there. I love my mate Iris. I don´t want anyone else but her. I don´t need another mate in my life to be happy. Iris brings me joy that no one could fill or replace. I hope that gave you a clear answer. Now, if you excuse me, I have to go back to my mate and my pups.´ With that, I got up and left the office. I went straight to Iris and our pups. Once I had arrived, I opened the door, and I walked in Iris changing her clothes.
I bit my lip and went up to her before hugging her from behind. She froze when I wrapped my arms around her, but then she relaxed. I leaned down and kissed her neck, she moved her head to the other side, and I took my chance to leave some red hickyes on her neck and shoulder. I heard her soft moans escape her soft lips. When I pulled away, I smiled and pecked her forehead. `Get ready for the day, today is a celebration for our new pack member, Jacob, and your return.´ I told her while my hands were all over her body. She giggled and leaned against my chest, closing her eyes.
I moved away, letting her get dressed. She whined at the loss of my touch, but she got dressed. I picked up our twins in my arms, and we both went to the living room. The twins were giggling and blabbing while looking around. Samantha went up to us and hugged Iris. Iris, of course, hugged her back with a soft smile. I smiled and placed the twins in the playpen, letting them play. When I turned around to face Iris and Samantha, they were gone. I was confused, but decided to wait for them to return.
Iris POV
After Samantha and I hugged, she pulled me away from Kale and our pups. I looked at her, confused, but she just kept pulling me into her room before locking the door behind us. ´Is there something that I can help you with?´ I asked her, and she grinned back at me before walking to her closet and pulling out a bag. She gave me that bag, and I opened it. Once I saw what was in the bag, the bag slipped through my fingers, and I looked up fast at Samanthat with a very red face. She was just smirking at me before pushing me into her bathroom with the bag. I took out the sexy black lingerie. I can´t believe that she just got me that. When did she give me this, and what is she planning? Why is she giving it to me now, but I have decided to put it on under my clothes and get out of the bathroom. Samantha lifted my shirt and grinned in satisfaction, then she pulled my shirt gently back and patted my shoulder.
´What is the meaning of this, Samantha?´ I asked her, not taking my eyes off her. She sat on her bed and smirked. ´Simple, you and Kale were apart for some time, and you two have kids. You two didn´t get some private time alone. So these two days you two will love mangle.´ She told me with ease, before giving me the keys to a house? I looked at her, but she got up and pulled me back to Kale and rest. The party, Kale went up to us and hugged me. It got me wondering if he knew about this plan as well. The party was nice, and everyone was happy for the new member and my return. It was getting late, and Samantha pushed Kale and me into a waiting car. We saw Mark sitting in the driver's seat and drove off with us in the car.
