Chapter 114 - All In

On the ship, the crew had situated their belongings and then grouped up in the navigation room of the ship.

Sitting in their chairs, the crew allowed Null to take the center and speak about what he had learned from the Other Planes shopkeeper.

He told them of the prophetic dreams he had about each of the reincarnated people from his home planet and how they now had ended up scattered after entering the karmic gates.

After going through the ins and outs of how he was supposed to travel to the Hallowed Plane, he explained that it would take some experimentation to be able to travel with the use of Void.

"Since he was the reason behind allowing the reincarnated to be sent to the Other Side, there should be a way to use him to travel there."

Klein was the first to speak, "Interesting theory, but how do you know that these experiments won't risk our lives. And even if it does work, I can't imagine that those in the Other Side would be giddy at the sight of us."

"I get that. And that's the main reason I wanted to share this with you all. I might have to go it alone just to be safe."

At the sound of that, the entirety of the crew was taken aback.

"Fuck that! I don't care how many experiments I have to go through to get us to this Hallowed Plane. There's no way I let you risk it alone even knowing what you're capable of," Theef roared in protest.

"Same with me. I know just how ignorant you can be when it comes to the important matters. You need us to keep you on the right path," Barter's Ruler too had his say in the matter.

"You said there are demons, right? I'd like to see how I fare against their kind," Z'oelo said with Muni on his shoulder.

"And angels! Do you think they're the kind with the pretty wings or the biblical kind with lots of creepy eyes?"

"You think those angels would be glad to see less pure beings like us. I'll slay them just like the demons."

"Why do you always have to be so bloodthirsty? But you are right. Us being there could draw in the ire as foreign enemies."

Hearing this, Null concurred, "She's right. We would be sought after by the rulers of the planes for simply existing there."

The rest of the crew knew of the peculiarities regarding the Livelli, so they knew that the 'she' he was referring to was the only female member of the crew.

It was understandable that at times they would be curious as to the things she said as only Null and Z'oelo could hear her.

'I really gotta work on that somehow,' Null still had the desire to help the crew become more tightknit.

"So, they have rulers out there, huh? Depending on the overall strength of the planes that means we could be potentially going up against Enlightened like you Null," Theef, who had experience in dealing with stronger beings than himself came to the ultimate conclusion.

'He's right. I never even bothered to consider the bottom line of the other planes. The rulers of the Hallowed Planes would no doubt be forces to reckon with.'

"We can deal with it as it comes," Null said, "I would never allow any harm to befall any of our crew."

It was this same sentiment that the crew had that warranted their desire to join Null in the seemingly dangerous journey.

"Now before we go more into depth about the experiments, who's feeling hungry?"

As if he had said a magic word, a purple plume appeared from his body.

"Hungry!"

It was the Allbeast who had remained in slumber for all this time.

It took the form of a rabbit with little antlers on its head and hopped in place while pleading for food.

"Okay little buddy, let's get some grub."

Suddenly, Muni pounced on the Allbeast to its surprise, "What a cute little bunny!"

Null was amazed to see that she actually came into contact with the Allbeast as she did so.

'I guess it does have something to do with the soul, so being able to touch another shouldn't be off the table.'

Needless to say though, the Allbeast was taken aback after taking the full brunt of the tackle despite Muni's small size.

"Friend?"

The Allbeast tilted its head at Muni.

"Eeek," Muni squeeled and hugged the beast.

She too was ecstatic at the fact that she could feel the Allbeast.

"You haven't met these two yet, bud. We scooped 'em up while you were busy sleeping."

Typically, the Allbeast would enter a dormant state similar to Void when it entered Null's body.

As it wasn't entirely a physical being, the Allbeast could reside alongside Void in a neutral state similar to the vortex.

Other than that, though, it could enter his mind space to play with Ego as he did before.

With that in mind, Null suddenly thought of something, 'Hey, Ego, why have you stayed inside my mind space throughout this entire time?'

Ego seemed to shy away at the question, but answered nonetheless, 'I haven't had any reason to. Anyways I like it in here. It's where I was born.'

'But I have yet to introduce you to the crew. You're like the most important member.'

'It's not like they would care if they knew me personally. Look at Void, they must hate him!'

'Is that how you feel?'

Null was heartbroken at the insecure nature that Ego was displaying.

'If they don't like you as much as I do, then they wouldn't even be here Ego.'

He kept it plain and simple for Ego to understand.

'We're all in this together no matter what.'

'No matter what?'

Null repeated, 'No matter what.'

With that being said, Ego's watery figure dispersed from Null's mind space and slowly funneled out from his forehead.

Slowly, a mirror image of Null was formed out of spirit water and stood before the crew.

"This is Ego. Just like Void, they help manage my powers and make me who I am."

While some of the crew like Klein and Z'oelo were in awe of the spectacle, the others had an idea as to what they were seeing.

Taking this opportunity to introduce the hidden crewmates, Null allowed Void to seep out of his body.

By this time, Void had grew alongside Null and looked like the polar opposite of Ego— fully opaque as ink.

"As some of you know, this is Void, the core of my energy source. While he may be a bit of a hassle when peckish, he can produce miracles just like Ego can."

"The last guy you have just saw is the Allbeast. It can take the form of any beast it consumes and utilize their best traits."

"What I mean to do is let all of us be aware of each other as members of this makeshift crew. Before we head to the Hallowed Planes, I want us to move as one making up for each other's weaknesses and bolstering our strengths."

After saying so, he put his hand out and looked to each of the crew members.

Seeing what he meant to do, each of them— even the clueless ones— put a hand towards the center of the group and held them there.

"Together we will embark on a journey throughout the endless cosmos. To other planes and beyond, in search of those lost and the power to reach them along the way."

"I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I will never let any harm come to those of this crew. And if that be a false statement, then I will do the utmost to avenge and do right by my people."

"Now let's get some grub. I'm starving."
