Esther Jennings seemed to sense something was off in Selena Kensington's expression, and slowly spoke, "Don't worry."
"I can't really probe your inner thoughts; it's just that sometimes, when your emotions react intensely, they transmit awareness to this space, allowing me to perceive some of it."
Hearing Esther's words, Selena let out a slight sigh of relief.
She spoke again, "Then, Aunt Esther, do you think my judgment…"
Before she could finish, Esther cut her off, "Shh."
She gestured for silence.
Then she slowly spoke again, "Remember what I said just now, it's time for you to wake up."
Selena's eyes instinctively widened.
But before she could say anything, Esther expelled her from that space.
Selena suddenly opened her eyes.
Her upper body reflexively lifted from the bed.
She turned her head slightly and saw Sterling Norwood beside her.
Selena, startled into waking, turned her head and was surprised to see someone by her side, instinctively exclaimed, "You!…"
