The next day
Shen Qinglan got up very early and went up the mountain again, hoping for some luck.
It turned out her luck wasn't very good.
At least yesterday she had some harvest, but today she had nothing at all.
She wandered in the deep mountains for most of the day, and finally gathered a basket of honeysuckle before hurrying down the mountain.
Back home, Shen Qinglan quickly took a bath, changed her clothes, and went out again.
Since witnessing her prowess, the Shen family no longer worried about her safety, so when she left, no one asked anything, they just reminded her to come back early.
Shen Qinglan waited for the ox cart under the big tree at the village entrance. Besides her, there were a few women carrying baskets or with bamboo baskets on their backs.
Perhaps someone recognized her, since she arrived, a few women began whispering to each other, occasionally casting curious or surprised glances at her.
