Qin Xue looked at Chu Molin's expression and quickly made her escape. If he kept talking, she had no idea what might happen next.
"Xue'er, if you come in without saying a word, don't you know you'll scare people into having a heart attack?" Chu Molin said helplessly. His wife was too shy, he was missing out on a lot of fun.
Chu Molin was just trying to tease his wife playfully, but Qin Xue felt that things might get out of hand, so it was wiser to retreat.
But upon hearing Chu Molin's words, she paused for a moment. He, having a heart attack? He must be joking.
Qin Xue ignored him and went into the space. She didn't see the children right away, which surprised her a little. Where could they have gone?
"Maybe they're in the house." Chu Molin thought, since he didn't see anyone outside, there was no other place to be except the bamboo house.
After all, the kids were still young, what else could they be doing? Surely not going hunting?
