Ethan Herd had made up his mind not to do anything, no matter what. He felt that if he really did the questions, it would be like compromising with Miles Martin, like being controlled by him, and it would be even harder to resist in the future.
He couldn't give in today; as long as he held his ground, didn't do it, Miles Martin wouldn't have any way to deal with him.
Miles Martin looked at him for about half a minute without speaking, seemingly waiting for him to back down.
But Ethan just wouldn't speak, and finally, Miles Martin sighed, looked past Ethan, and said, "Meina, don't be mad. Watch your health. Ethan is still young, just a child. Besides, the first time is always difficult, but it'll be fine in two days..."
Ethan crossed his arms, not believing it for a second, and sneered, "Old Fox, you're not fooling me. Do you think I'll believe the same lie a second time?"
As soon as he finished speaking, there was a loud smack, and the back of Ethan's head was firmly slapped.
