Anthony Davis could tell the President wasn't lying; he actually seemed serious.
This was because he was certain Anthony had no choice but to agree, so his attitude was this tough.
His Brain spun quickly through possibilities; the President had only said he wanted him married before he stepped down, he hadn't said he had to get married right this second.
First deal with what was in front of him and get through this, as for getting married… if he really didn't want to, who could actually force him?
Once Anthony had thought it through, he gave a nod: "Fine, I agree."
The President immediately smiled, beckoning for someone to bring over Paper, pen, and an inkpad. "Come on, since you've agreed, sign your name and press your Handprint."
Anthony froze for a moment. Seriously? He still had to sign and press a Handprint—what the hell was this? Were they really going to make a Contract?
"Is that really necessary for something like this?"
