The secretary handed Anthony Davis his coat with both hands, carrying his briefcase, and opened the door: "Mayor, you haven't really eaten properly these past few days, would you like to have a midnight snack tonight?"
Anthony Davis thought of the midnight snack Aya made, unsure of when he'd get to eat it again.
He shook his head: "No need."
On the way home, late at night, there were far fewer cars on the road.
Throughout the journey today, the secretary hardly said a word, and the car was unusually quiet.
Finally, Anthony Davis spoke first: "Why aren't you speaking today?"
The secretary quickly replied: "I feel it's too late, and you've been busy all day; you need a good rest."
Anthony Davis chuckled, sparing such lies in front of him.
"You've been with me for many years now, remember next time before lying, don't avert your eyes."
