If Dylan hadn't told her, Scarlett probably wouldn't have told her even if she'd gotten beaten up outside.
Even if Scarlett really caused trouble, Nell couldn't bear to hit her even once.
Dylan saw her eyes turn red and thought she was worried about the Tate family's trouble.
"Don't worry, I'm here. With their family, I can handle it easily. I won't let anything happen to Scarlett..."
Nell looked up, seriously at Dylan, without saying a word.
Dylan felt a bit embarrassed being stared at for a while. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Thank you."
For once, Nell felt more than ever that Scarlett needed a father, someone like Dylan who could shelter her from the storm and stand up for her.
If it weren't for Dylan, Scarlett probably wouldn't have made it back safe and sound.
Nell's heart softened a bit; maybe she should... try harder, for her daughter?
Dylan couldn't help but gently tap her nose with his hand. "Do you still need to thank me?"
