Matilda Jenkins hung up the phone and quickly ran back to the hospital bed. She looked at Mrs. Morrison, her heart filled with both worry and fear. She and Nolan Morrison came to help others gain more family property, and now that the property was in hand, if this person really died, what would they do? It might be misunderstood that they had conspired to harm Mrs. Morrison, and that would be truly unjust.
Matilda Jenkins watched as Mrs. Morrison struggled to breathe, her heart rate and pulse continuously dropping, and she was very anxious.
Matilda Jenkins paced back and forth anxiously in the ward. "Doctor, is there any way to make her a bit more conscious?"
The doctor shook his head, "There's no way; she's missed the best time for detoxification."
Originally, after dealing with Mrs. Johns, if Nolan Morrison had quickly taken her away from the basement, she could have been saved, but Brown came and delayed it, losing the best time for treatment.
