Mrs. Morrison smoothly walked out from the small restaurant by the street, feeling disdain for Scarlett Glenn. She wanted to see how Scarlett Glenn planned to make her return impossible.
But soon, Mrs. Morrison found out.
Because just as she stepped out of the restaurant and hadn't reached her car yet, she saw a police car arrive, and several police officers got out and surrounded her.
"Madam, please show your ID."
Mrs. Morrison was taken aback, abruptly turned around, and saw Scarlett Glenn sitting inside the store, waving at her.
She was puzzled; surely these police officers were not called by Scarlett Glenn, right?
She hadn't done anything illegal in Loch City, so what if the police came?
Mrs. Morrison handed over her ID from her handbag to the police officer.
The officer asked formally, "Are you not a citizen of this country?"
"No."
"Then what brings you to Loch City, tourism or visiting relatives?"
"Both."
