The blanket was tugged again, moved once more, and finally, it wriggled a little towards the side.
Despite the large bed, it still inched to the edge of the bed.
Joel Russo chuckled helplessly, stretched out his hands, and pulled Arabella Vanderbilt into his embrace, covering her head through the blanket, and whispered:
"It's alright now, they've all gone."
Under the blanket, Arabella gently bit her lip, quietly letting Joel hold her in his arms. The solid embrace filled her with a sense of warmth and fullness.
After being held quietly for a while, just when Arabella felt a bit suffocated, Joel couldn't wait any longer and reached to pull the blanket away from her.
"If you don't come out, you'll really stifle yourself."
"Phew..."
Arabella didn't resist, pushed the blanket aside, and began to take deep breaths.
"I was really about to suffocate."
Her hair was a bit messy, and Joel laughed, reaching out to gently smooth her hair.
