The nearby bodyguards instantly surrounded Arabella Vanderbilt, their hands already positioned to draw their weapons at a moment's notice.
An ominous feeling surged in Arabella's heart. Through the human wall formed by the bodyguards, she spotted the black sedan parked ahead. Its door opened, and the sight of a figure that wasn't entirely unfamiliar made her face change dramatically.
Damien Sutton stepped down from the driver's seat and took two steps forward.
The bodyguard tasked with protecting Arabella spoke in a stern voice:
"Who are you?!"
Damien stopped in his tracks. "I'm here for Miss Arabella."
