"Here's the situation, your parents want to have dinner with that young master from the Shaw Family tonight."
Wilton Lindsey chimed in, answering his granddaughter's question, "Doesn't Daniel Shaw pick up and drop off Clarissa from school every day? It saves us a lot of time and energy, so your parents are inviting him to dinner as a token of appreciation."
"Hmm." Isabella Lindsey nodded slightly.
She had a general understanding now. Her parents really valued Clarissa's childhood friend, Daniel Shaw, so much so that they both wanted to join in for the dinner.
They certainly were showing him enough respect.
In contrast, poor Xavier.
Up to now, he hasn't even dined with her parents, and her father showed him all sorts of disdain... When will he ever be like Daniel, and become the ideal son-in-law both parents can accept...
Although Isabella was jokingly teasing herself and Xavier, after the laughter, deep within her heart, only she knew the pain...
"Isabella, have some food."
