Isabella was on the street corner, waving for a car.
Called her mom.
Ella Lacey said with a cheerful smile, "My daughter, where are you now?"
"I'm on my way home, how about you?" Isabella asked with concern.
"I'm back at your apartment already; it was Shao who sent someone to drive me back."
Ella Lacey was brimming with joy, narrating endlessly, "When you see him, you must thank him properly. Today, he and I had such a delightful chat. But, I went to the bathroom, and when I came back out, he was gone. The security said he had urgent matters and left. Not sure what happened, so hurried... I didn't even get to say a proper goodbye to him. I hope there's another chance to meet..."
"..." Isabella was silent for a while, didn't say much, and responded lightly, "I'll be home soon."
Thirty minutes later.
Isabella returned to the apartment.
Ella Lacey was busy bustling in and out of the kitchen, arranging dinner.
