Tercy Mason restarted the car and drove toward the business district. Xavier Gale watched her closely all the way, not wanting any more incidents.
Twenty minutes later.
They stopped at the rows of colorful merchant streets, and Tercy told her son to wait in the car, saying she would be back soon.
Sure enough.
She returned quickly, within less than ten minutes, carrying a black opaque shopping bag, which she placed in the trunk.
Xavier Gale never interfered with her affairs and didn't ask what it was.
The two drove back home again very quickly.
As soon as they entered the house, Tercy mysteriously hid the black shopping bag in the room, then changed into home clothes, and headed into the kitchen to prepare dinner ingredients.
Xavier Gale saw her busying around and asked curiously, "Mom, are you preparing dinner this early?"
"Yeah, learned a few dishes today at Uncle Bardot's place, want to make them for you father and son to eat." Tercy chuckled lightly.
