Cherline Lindsey seemed as though she could see him; he must be slumped on the floor right now.
"Cherline, I'm fine. I just got home and am sitting on the floor."
Obby Stuart took a sip of cold water, shook his head, and said, "I'm a bit tired. I want to sleep now, so I won't bother you."
He hung up the phone.

Little Clarissa was well-behaved too and didn't bother them.

The two sisters collapsed onto the large bed. Clarissa lay next to Cherline, grabbing a strand of her long, thick black hair and sniffing it near her nose. "It smells so good, Sis... Can you continue telling me the story of the little hero, please?"
"I've told you everything already," Cherline said with a calm expression.
