Gale Summer and Ricky Lewis went to Washington three days after their marriage. Knowing that Washington was still quite cold, Gale wanted to take all her thick clothes with her.
However, Ricky said, "It's not that cold over in Washington. Unless you're going out to shop on Main Street, once you enter a shopping mall, it's all heater and not cold at all. Just one or two pieces of thick clothes will do."
Gale originally had a huge pile of luggage, big and small, but it was streamlined by Ricky into just one slightly larger suitcase, leaving her not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
"Clothes are just external things, if not enough we can just buy more in Washington. As a pregnant woman, if anything happens because you are dragging too much luggage, wouldn't that be a loss not worth the risk?"
