Although Joseph wasn't sure what Ricky wanted from him, Romney still called Ricky back, thinking that Ricky wouldn't contact him for no reason.
However, the phone rang for a long time without anyone picking up. Joseph didn't know whether Ricky was away from his phone or had it on silent.
He shook his head. Since no one answered, he couldn't be bothered to call again. If Ricky really needed something, he would call back.
Joseph got to his car, opened the car door to get in, and hadn't even started the engine when his mobile phone rang again. Thinking it was Ricky calling back, he didn't even look at the caller ID and just connected the call via Bluetooth.
"Hello, Ricky, what did you want from me this afternoon?" Romney spoke up first.
"Ricky?" A voice came through the mobile phone—it was Joseph Thompson's: "Romney, have you been hanging out a lot with Ricky lately?"
