The next days were a blur for Bian. Working for the Saints Hall, farming soul points to level up geno cores and getting baptised by the Black Crystal.
In the blink of an eye, two weeks passed by. Han Yan completely filled all her geno points tally and three of her geno cores were brought up to gold while the last was gemstone.
Bian also, through careful trial and error, filled up his geno points tally, save his super geno points.
[Geno Points Acquired: 100 Ordinary Geno Points; 100 Primitive Geno Points; 100 Mutant Geno Points; 100 Sacred Geno Points; 8 Super Geno Points.]
"Can I really not fill up the super genes?"
Right now, he didn't dare to make a move against any creature in the sanctuary. The space around him was like a raging river, the skies darkened above his head with streaks of lightning appearing from time to time.
The sanctuary was utterly suppressing him, just one step away from removing him. Even Bian knew he wouldn't be able to stay for long, at most three months.
Bang!
A halberd shadow destroyed the mountain beside Bian.
Large pieces of rock fell through him and Nightmare as he looked at the two figures fighting in the sky.
With both husband and wife hating waste, neither of them bothered hunting any beast that was not a super creature.
Thus only Tyrant could match Han Yan and act as a proper sparring partner, since Bian could not.
"It's about time, let's go!"
Bian called out to them, causing the end of the training session. Tyrant was as powerful as ever and while Han Yan had no injuries, she was exhausted and looked ragged.
"Why do I feel like Tyrant has become even stronger? My attacks couldn't even pierce his skin."
Han Yan understood the power of the Strength Overlord well, but it seemed to have gotten exaggerated in the fourth sanctuary.
Even the Holy Angel wasn't that powerful without her geno armor.
"Tyrant is special, you haven't even seen all his powers yet," Bian said with a proud smile.
Han Yan, who knew Tyrant could transform with the Juggernaut Shift, was shocked to hear he had even more powers than that.
"Have they finally gathered this time?"
Han Yan asked as she mounted Nightmare, sitting behind Bian. For fast trips, she always stayed with him.
Bian nodded and explained, "This time, they prepared various treasures and called several masters, all of the super creatures were moving around at all times."
It would not have been convenient to attack such a scattered foe. Bian was scared his team's strength would scare them off, leading to diminishing returns.
A bolt of lightning flashed across the sea, mountains, rivers and even beasts. A two meter lizard was surprised when the bolt of lightning phased through it, but it was utterly unharmed.
"Empty powers and unbelievable speed, this has to be the fastest creature in the sanctuaries."
Han Yan complimented Nightmare again.
Bian smiled bitterly as they kept going. Actually even if the sanctuaries weren't in a rush to push him out, he would leave on his own accord.
After two weeks, the lifespan on his interface dropped by the tiniest margin of 0.01. This confirmed Bian's worst thoughts, that overusing the Emperical Decree might turn him into a leaking fountain of life.
Luckily he didn't overuse it from the beginning, but towards the end, and he was sure that an evolution would fix his body.
He silently reminded himself not to bring any item above his level in the future.
After some time.
Spark!
The bolt of lightning stopped in an empty valley for seemingly no reason.
"You've been waiting for a while, why not come out?"
With the Emperical Aura, Bian always observed what was happening while he was in the sanctuary.
This spirit was the one they took the longest to find. Several precious treasures were used to level up his geno core, so Bian knew he had to be some big shot.
"Energy like a typhoon, rejected by nature. I wonder who this senior is, that even this world can't stand his presence."
A handsome Emperor spirit walked out from a crevice in the valley. On top, several figures revealed themselves, silently building up dreadful powers.
Super creatures, Emperor spirits!
With empty powers Bian could have easily taken another route, avoiding this trap, but it wasn't yet decided who was the prey and who the hunter.
"To some I am a friend, to others an enemy, but to you."
Bang!
Tyrant fell from the sky, landing beside Bian with a huge explosion.
"I am the harbinger of death."
"Is that so?"
The handsome spirit didn't seem perturbed by his answer. He drew out his sword and made a slashing motion towards Bian and his crew.
Han Yan had dismounted from Nightmare, Tyrant was also battle-ready, leaving Bian protected with the empty powers of Nightmare.
Yet, when the handsome spirit attacked, his sword slash seemed to strike all three of them at once, not dealing any physical damage.
Bian coughed out blood, nearly collapsing to the ground, his face changing colour.
"Spirit Sword, you are Six Paths Emperor!"
Six Paths Emperor was quite the notorious figure in Bian's mind. He was an emperor spirit who broke his own geno core in search of strength and was one of the few people able to stall, if not defeat, Han Sen because of his attack, Spirit Sword.
Spirit Sword was not a physical attack, it did not damage Bian's body, but targeted his will.
After multiple life and death battles, Bian's will wasn't something so easily moved, especially with the three inner pillars, however, the recent death of Man Tian had opened up a fault.
Shuaa!
A black veil, looking like a starry curtain, enveloped both sides of the valley from the top.
Lightning, fire, sword lights, energy beams. Each one capable of killing an emperor spirit went through that veil, turning translucent and full of starry powers.
"Empty powers!"
An attack using empty powers was futile, unless the attack turned corporeal before it landed, it would phase through the target.
The same couldn't be said for Nightmare though, an empty attack would strike a creature with empty powers.
This wasn't a simple matter, half of those attacks possessed empty powers, the other half remained normal.
All around the valley, the veil acted as a wall that wouldn't allow empty powers to pass through, while a bai sema was also planted, preventing anything else from passing.
It was a well thought out attack, even Han Yan with the Immortal Chasing Phantom wouldn't be able to avoid it as there was nowhere to run to.
Any other person would have been in peril, even the Executioners may not find it easy to survive this onslaught, but these spirits were unlucky with their target this time.
Bian and Han Yan, having experienced a recent loss, were struck hard by the Spirit Sword, temporarily debilitating them.
Tyrant however, was a beast soul. Not just a beast soul, but one enhanced by the Black Crystal and always ready to fight, even to the death. The Spirit Sword couldn't shake him at all.
Even if Tyrant took these attacks, he would only be injured, but Bian and Han Yan wouldn't be as lucky. Especially Bian who couldn't mobilise any power in the sanctuary to avoid incurring its wrath.
Tyrant's massive frame shrunk to two meters, his muscles compressed, appearing like steel wires under his sleek black skin. The dark hair took on a glossy look and even the halberd in his hand shrunk with him, bending space and time with its density.
"Juggernaut Shift!"
Now in his ultimate mode, Tyrant didn't hesitate to release his ultimate attack following the principle of the best defense is offense.
Han Yan barely managed to get on the dark destrier at the last moment, the empty powers coursing through her.
BOOM!
There was a large explosion, unlike anything ever seen before in the fourth sanctuary.
Space shattered like glass, time flowed in reverse, the entire valley and all the lands within a thousand kilometres were swept away.
This was the annihilating power of the Strength Overlord Juggernaut.
