"Dreaming... 'Help me, please someone help me,' she pleaded. 'You're too late,' sigh.... with her last breath the voice replied. 'No!!!' I screamed, and Gina rushed in to check on me. 'What's wrong, Jordan? Are you okay?' she asked. 'The vision from Shi Nacko's class still haunts me,' I said, sweating and panting. 'What did you see?' Gina inquired. 'A dying woman screaming for help. Every time I try to reach her, she accuses me of being late and then dies,' I explained. 'Do you know her?' Gina asked. 'No, I don't. Please wait, I need to use the restroom,' I said, shaken, as I walked to the restroom. I turned on the faucet and splashed water on my face. As I looked up at the mirror, I was startled to see an arrow-shaped mark on my forehead. I examined it closely and it suddenly turned red. My reflection in the mirror started screaming, but I couldn't hear myself making any sound. To my horror, blood began gushing out of the faucet, filling the sink. I was overwhelmed with fear and shut my eyes tightly. Just then, I felt a gentle touch on my shoulder. "Jordan, are you alright?" It was Gina, deeply concerned about me. I opened my eyes and everything returned to normal. "Gina, I think we should talk to Amma first thing in the morning. Maybe she knows something about what's happening to me," I suggested. "Alright, but for now, you need to rest. Sleep tight, Jordan," Gina said reassuringly. "Okay, sis," I replied, and settled back into bed.
It was eight o'clock in the morning, and Gina and I started our journey to Amma's house, which was just two blocks away. As we made our way, we unexpectedly encountered an elf guy. "Hey, you two must be the newbies, right? I'm Logan, nice to meet you both," he greeted us. "I'm Jordan, and this is my sister Gina," I replied, extending my hand for a handshake. Meanwhile, Gina was goofing around, making silly faces. "You guys must be heading to Amma's house, am I right?" Logan asked as we shook hands. "Yes, you're correct! We're on our way to see Amma. How did you know?" I asked, a smile spreading across my face. "I've noticed you two hanging out together, and I happen to live close to Amma. Right now, she's in the woods for some practice. There are many of our kind there, and they'll be thrilled to welcome you both," Logan explained cheerfully. "Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Gina exclaimed. With Logan leading the way, we walked side by side, excited for our adventure.
"That's Amma over there," Logan exclaimed, extending his hand to point in Amma's direction. As soon as my eyes landed on Amma, I couldn't help but notice how different she looked. This time, she was sporting a sleek black T-shirt and long blue leggings, with a bow and arrow in hand, aiming at a watermelon in the distance. The gentle breeze rustled through her curly blonde hair, framing her face beautifully.
"Hey Amma, your friends are looking for you," Logan called out. Suddenly, everyone turned their heads to glance at us, and a murmur began to spread through the crowd. "They're the humans here." "We don't want humans." "Humans are weak and pathetic." "Isn't that the mark of destruction on his forehead?" Amidst the commotion, Amma dropped her bow and arrow and hurriedly made her way towards us.
"Hey, what's up, guys?" she greeted us. "Amma, I'm not okay... Ever since Master Shi Nacko's first class, the vision I saw keeps haunting me," I confessed sadly. The murmuring continued, and Gina expressed her annoyance, but received no response.
"What did you see, Jordan?" Amma inquired, concern evident in her voice. "It was a woman, crying for help. But as soon as I reached her, she accused me of being too late and then... she died," I replied, my voice filled with a mix of confusion and sorrow.
"Oh my... I'm sorry, Jordan. I can't interpret this one. I can't help," Amma said, her tone filled with genuine regret. "It's alright, you mentioned a prophecy in that cell yesterday. Can you tell me more about it?" I inquired. "The prophecy... Follow me," Amna responded, leading us deeper into the woods. Confused, Gina asked, "Where are we going, Amma?"
"We're heading to a place where all your questions will be answered," Amna replied, still walking ahead. Intrigued, I asked, "And what is this place called?"
"The Magic Mirror of Lalorama, that's what it's called," a voice echoed from behind me. I quickly turned around to see Logan standing there. "Logan, you scared us! What are you doing here?" Amma asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Nothing much, I saw you guys and thought I should join. Is that okay?" Logan asked. "Yes, of course, it's okay," Gina responded happily. And so, the four of us continued on our journey.
