But Candy swallowed everything down.
He had really stressed her today. Is this what it means to be his personal maid? She would rather remain in the python cave and die.
But she had a life outside this hellish clan—a future she wanted to live and achieve. And to get that, she needed to get on Raymond's good side.
"Understood, Boss," she said, bowing with a forced smile.
Raymond slid both hands into his pockets and walked out with Dickson.
The moment he disappeared, Candy snapped.
She started kicking the air violently, imagining Raymond's face in front of her.
"I will surely strangle you, monster!" she snarled, clenching her fists tightly with burning hatred.
…
Diana was heading to the kitchen to get herself a smoothie—the one Jose made last time had been really good.
Risky suddenly appeared in front of her.
"Hi, Diana," he greeted, scratching the back of his head nervously.
"What?" she snapped, glaring coldly at him.
He bit his lips, gathering every ounce of courage left in him.
"Haven't you noticed already?" he asked.
Diana frowned.
"Noticed what?"
Julie, who was passing by, immediately sensed the tension. She spun around and rushed into the kitchen.
"Jose!" she whispered urgently. "He's about to confess to her. What if she accepts him?"
Jose frowned at the scene outside.
Julie rolled her eyes. "You took forever to buy her flowers. Relax—she only likes you. She'll never accept Risky. Just watch."
She grinned.
Outside—
"Notice what?" Diana asked again.
Risky lowered his head, then suddenly blurted out,
"That I like you."
He looked up instantly, searching her face for a reaction.
Diana simply stared at him, completely expressionless.
Risky waited.
Julie and Jose waited too.
Suddenly, Diana burst into laughter.
Julie and Jose exchanged looks.
Risky frowned, confused.
Her laughter stopped abruptly. She stepped forward and poked his forehead hard.
"Do I look like your standard?" she snapped.
"Do I look like your mate?"
She rolled her eyes.
"The next time you tell me rubbish like this, I'll punch you so fucking hard."
She turned and walked away.
Julie and Jose, who had been suppressing their laughter, instantly turned and rushed back into the kitchen, laughing quietly.
…
"Such a show," Julie laughed, holding her stomach.
"I swear, I love scenes like this," Jose added, laughing too.
The kitchen door suddenly flew open.
Their laughter died immediately.
"Make me a smoothie, Jose," Diana ordered coldly as she walked in.
Jose quickly made it and handed it to her. Diana collected it and walked out without another word.
As she walked away, Jose's eyes followed her swaying ass. He licked his lips—
Clang!
A spoon landed hard on his head.
"Ahhh!" he screamed.
"Fuck you, Julie!" he whined.
Clang!
Another spoon hit him.
He fell flat on his butt.
