-------------------------------------------------

The atmosphere inside the royal chamber remained heavy even after the discussion had finally reached its conclusion.

No one truly felt relaxed.

Too many impossible things had happened tonight.

The truth about the elves.

The devils.

The manipulation behind the massacre.

The revelation about William.

And now—The possibility of reviving an extinct race.

It felt less like a meeting and more like history itself had been dragged into the room and torn apart before everyone's eyes.

Finally, Rhya slowly stood up first.

The others from the Eye of the Midnight Sun followed after him.

Even Patoli quietly rose without speaking further.

The earlier hostility in his eyes still existed, but now it was mixed with visible confusion and unrest.

His entire existence had been shaken tonight.

Rhya looked toward Ben for several seconds before finally speaking.

"…We'll leave for now."

The captains immediately remained alert as the elves began preparing to depart.

But just as the atmosphere slightly loosened—One person remained seated.

Fana.

Everyone's eyes shifted toward her.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Rhya frowned slightly.

-Frown!

"…Fana?"

Fana calmly looked toward Ben.

"I'll stay."

That single sentence immediately caused several captains to tense.

Nozel's mercury instantly moved slightly.

Charlotte's briars stirred.

Even Yami narrowed his eyes.

Fana however remained calm.

"I still don't fully trust you."

Her gaze remained fixed on Ben.

"You speak well. You revealed truths. But words alone are not enough."

The chamber became quiet again.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Then Fana continued.

"So I'll remain here. To watch you. To make sure this isn't another manipulation."

Her eyes sharpened slightly.

"If I find out you're deceiving us… the deal is over."

Immediately several captains began objecting.

"That's too dangerous— You can't seriously allow that—"

"She's still part of the Eye of the Midnight Sun—"

But before anyone could continue—Ben answered calmly.

"Accepted."

The room froze.

Even Fana blinked slightly caught off guard.

-Blink!

Because he accepted without even hesitating. Even she didn't expect that she thought he would make some excuses.

Yami immediately looked at Ben like he had lost his mind.

"Oi brat King, you serious?"

Charlotte frowned deeply.

-Frown!

"Ben, allowing one of them to stay inside the capital is already risky enough."

But Ben remained completely calm.

"If she wanted to attack me…"

He shrugged lightly.

"…she already had plenty of chances."

Fana silently stared at him after hearing that.

"...."

Meanwhile Rhya gave Fana one final glance before finally nodding slightly.

Then spatial magic opened behind them and the remaining members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun departed from the chamber.

Leaving only Fana behind.

The moment the portal closed—The room became tense again almost immediately.

Nozel finally stepped forward this time.

Clearly no longer willing to remain silent.

His silver eyes locked onto Ben seriously.

"Your Majesty."

His tone was colder than before.

"This is dangerous."

Nozel rarely openly opposed decisions inside meetings like this unless he genuinely believed the matter was severe.

And right now—He absolutely did.

"The elves possess far greater magical affinity than average humans."

"They are naturally loved by mana."

"Even the few we encountered already demonstrated overwhelming power."

His expression hardened further.

"If you truly revive their race …and they decide to wage war against the kingdom…"

"…the consequences could be catastrophic."

The room fell silent again.

Because everyone knew Nozel wasn't exaggerating.

The elves truly were terrifyingly powerful.

And unlike humans—

Their hatred carried five centuries of pain behind it.

For several moments Ben remained silent.

Then slowly—He turned toward Nozel.

Their eyes met directly.

And for the first time tonight—Ben's gaze became extremely serious.

Not playful. Not casual.

But the gaze of a king who had already considered every possibility.

"You really think I didn't think about that?"

Nozel remained silent.

"...."

Ben slowly stood up from his seat.

"I already considered the possibility of war. The possibility of betrayal. The possibility of failure."

His voice remained calm. But every word carried weight.

"If the elves truly choose revenge after revival …then I'll face them."

The captains silently watched him.

Ben's expression remained steady.

"But for once…"

He slowly looked around the chamber.

"…someone needs to set things right."

Silence filled the room again.

"Humans were part of the reason their race was wiped out. Whether manipulated or not …that blood still happened."

Even several captains lowered their eyes slightly hearing those words.

Because that part could not be denied.

Ben continued calmly.

"Now the choice will belong to the elves."

"They can continue clinging to five hundred years of hatred …or embrace the lives returned to them."

He looked toward the chamber doors where the Eye of the Midnight Sun had departed moments ago.

"That decision… will define their future."

Then Ben looked back toward the captains again.

"And if they choose war…"

For a brief moment—His eyes became frighteningly sharp.

"…then I'll stop them."

The room fell silent.

Because nobody doubted him when he said it.

Not after everything they had witnessed tonight. Not after seeing the impossible transformations.

Not after seeing him expose truths buried for centuries.

Even Nozel quietly fell silent afterward.

Not because his concerns disappeared.

But because he realized something.

Ben was not acting blindly.

He had already accepted every possible consequence before making this decision.

The meeting finally came to an end.

But even after everything settled—Nobody truly felt at ease.

The revelations from tonight were simply too massive.

The chamber slowly emptied as several royal servants carefully entered to clean the damaged surroundings caused by the earlier mana outbursts.

The atmosphere no longer carried immediate hostility, but tension still lingered like smoke after a battlefield.

The Magic Knight captains, however, had no intention of returning home tonight.

Not after learning that devils had manipulated history itself.

Not after discovering William's condition.

And definitely not after hearing Ben casually announce the revival of the elf race like he was discussing tomorrow's weather.

Yami was the first to openly say it while stretching his arms lazily.

"…Yeah, no. I'm staying here tonight."

Jack grinned while resting his blades over his shoulder.

"Hah! Same. Feels like if I sleep somewhere else another ancient race might suddenly appear."

Rill meanwhile looked completely energized instead of tired.

"This is amazing! Devils! Elves! Ancient magic! Reincarnation! I wanna paint this entire night!"

Charlotte immediately sighed tiredly.

"Please don't."

Even Nozel, despite remaining serious, quietly decided to remain within the royal palace as well. The situation had become far too unstable for the captains to casually separate now.

Julius himself didn't object.

In fact—

He looked relieved they chose to stay.

Because deep down, everyone understood one thing clearly.

Tonight was only the beginning.

Meanwhile—

Fana quietly stood near the chamber entrance while observing the captains and Ben silently.

Several guards and servants remained visibly nervous around her presence despite Ben's earlier acceptance.

After all—

She was still one of the leaders of the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

One of the kingdom's greatest enemies.

Yet now—

She was staying inside the royal palace itself as a guest.

The irony alone felt absurd.

Finally, one elderly servant carefully stepped forward while bowing respectfully.

"T-This way please…"

Even his voice carried visible nervousness.

Fana silently followed behind him.

As they walked through the palace corridors, several servants and guards immediately froze after seeing her.

Whispers quietly spread.

"That's one of them…"

"She's staying here?"

"Isn't she dangerous?"

But none dared openly question the King's orders.

Fana herself ignored the stares completely while silently walking behind the servant.

Her expression remained calm.

But internally—Her thoughts were restless.

Everything she believed in had been shaken tonight.

The hatred. The resurrection.

Patoli.

The devil.

Even the humans she hated did not behave the way she expected.

Especially Ben.

She still couldn't understand him.

A king who should have executed them instead offered them salvation.

It made no sense to her.

And that uncertainty irritated her more than hostility ever could.

Eventually the servant stopped before a luxurious guest room deep within the royal palace.

"T-This room has been prepared for you…"

He carefully opened the door.

The room inside was elegant and spacious, lit softly by magical lamps.

Large windows overlooked parts of the sleeping Clover Capital while expensive furniture and silk curtains decorated the surroundings.

Clearly—

This was not a prison.

Fana silently observed the room for several seconds before entering.

The servant bowed respectfully once again.

"If you require anything, please inform the attendants outside…"

Then he quickly left, clearly relieved the interaction ended peacefully.

The door slowly closed behind her.

And for the first time tonight—Fana found herself alone.

Completely alone with her thoughts.

She slowly walked toward the large window and looked down at the capital below.

Humans.

The same race she hated for centuries.

Yet tonight—

The one who reached out a hand toward the elves…

Was also human.

Her reflection quietly stared back at her through the moonlit glass.

Confused. Uncertain.

And for the first time since her resurrection—No longer entirely sure who the real enemy was.
