The coffee cup was set down, and Lillian Spencer laughed, "If I were helping her, why would I meet with Miss Sullivan today?"
"Understood." Sophie Sullivan nodded, "So, Miss Lillian Spencer, are you trying to cut me a bit of slack?"
Unfortunately, Sophie had no intention of accepting this favor.
Lillian Spencer simply smiled and said nothing, and after a while, she said again, "I've only given Miss Sullivan a minor suggestion. Country A is not a place for you to stay; I hope you leave as soon as possible, otherwise, if anything happens, I cannot guarantee your safety."
The last sentence was nothing short of a warning.
Sophie tapped lightly on the table surface with one hand and lowered her eyelids, "What grudge does Miss Lillian Spencer have with Thomas Shannon?"
"Why doesn't Miss Sullivan guess what kind of relationship I have with Thomas Shannon?"
Sophie was unmoved, "Do you guys even have any relation?"
