Thomas Shannon lifted a bowl of thick, gelatinous porridge and spooned it personally to her lips.
Sophie Sullivan turned her head aside, signaling him to take it away, and said she'd eat it later.
Thomas Shannon refused; wherever her head turned, the spoon in his hand followed.
"Thomas Shannon, you..." Sophie gave him an annoyed stare; Thomas Shannon's handsome face was devoid of expression, and they remained locked in this stalemate.
On the other end of the phone, Lucifer seemed to hear her words, "Cecilia Branford, are you talking to that Thomas Shannon fellow?"
"No, where did we leave off just now?" Sophie said, opening her mouth to drink the porridge.
Thomas Shannon's tightly furrowed brows finally relaxed a bit.
Isn't it just Lucifer? Could Lucifer possibly be more important than him?
He is, after all, the father of her child; is Lucifer comparable?
