"Mr. Shannon, before accusing me, see how your wife talks to my girlfriend." Thomas Shannon snorted coldly and turned to leave.
"Lincoln, stop."
Sophie Sullivan quickly descended the stairs, called Derek Clark, and was about to leave the manor.
"Miss Sullivan."
A gentle female voice came from behind.
Sophie paused, turned back to glance at Mrs. Shannon standing on the stairs, who was smiling at her.
Sophie was confused, "Does Mrs. Shannon need something?"
This term 'Mrs. Shannon,' compared to earlier calling her 'Aunt,' clearly showed the distancing.
Mrs. Shannon laughed; time hadn't left any marks on her face, looking like she was in her thirties, her face was beautiful and her demeanor was elegant. She waved, "Will you accompany Aunt for a walk in the flower garden, please?"
Sophie hesitated for a few seconds, "Sorry, I still have things to do."
She really didn't know what more there was to talk about with Mrs. Shannon.
