Sophie Sullivan patted Gaby's head with one hand. "Gaby, get down."
Gaby roared viciously at Thomas Shannon before getting off him. It jumped off the bed and stood by Sophie Sullivan's side like a protector.
Thomas Shannon opened his eyes. They were deep, his irises dark. He looked at her with cool restraint, his thin lips slightly pursed. "Fennie… Charlie River is right."
"What did Charlie River say?"
"I like you," Thomas Shannon said, enunciating each word.
