"Thomas Shannon, if you can really hear me, wake up. Don't think that by doing this, I will forgive you. Let me tell you, it's impossible."
He did this on purpose, trying to play the sympathy card to gain her pity.
But she wouldn't fall for it. Nor would she forgive him because of it. She would still be angry.
"MEOW." Harry let out a weak cry, rubbing its furry little head against her hand.
Petting its fur, Sophie Sullivan said to Thomas Shannon, "If you just keep being unconscious, it might not be a bad thing for me, actually."
As she spoke, Sophie Sullivan nodded to herself, "At least, without me having to do anything, a big problem would be solved."
Thomas Shannon, with his eyes closed, was furious. Several times he wanted to sit up and confront her about whether she even had a conscience! She wouldn't forgive him? A big problem solved? Did she see him as the embodiment of trouble in her eyes?
