He stood not far away, his voice lowered. "Young Master, there's news."
Thomas Shannon raised his hand and gently patted Sophie Sullivan's back. "Let go. I have matters to handle."
"I won't," Sophie Sullivan mumbled, refusing to cooperate.
"I'll count to three. If you don't let go by then, I'll have to take you right here."
The moment he finished speaking, Sophie Sullivan instantly recoiled, putting distance between them.
Thomas Shannon was speechless.
He raised his hand and rubbed his chin. The spot where she had bitten him was still slightly damp.
"Stay put. I'll come for you later." With these words, Thomas Shannon walked towards Charlie River.
He didn't have him report immediately but instead led him further away, ensuring Sophie Sullivan couldn't hear, before signaling Charlie River to speak.
"Young Master, I've just received news that someone is investigating the maniac."
"Still investigating?"
