Enough already! Sophie Sullivan scoffed disdainfully, turning her head away.
"Maniac, I'm sorry," Amelia Shaw said. "I didn't know you were going too, so I didn't prepare anything for you. I hope you don't mind."
"Whatever." Sophie was even afraid Amelia might try to poison her.
At the foot of the mountain, the group disembarked from the car. Looking at the seemingly endless flights of stairs, Sophie Sullivan felt her legs about to give out. Early in the morning, having eaten nothing, climbing such a high mountain just to watch the sunrise? Sophie leaned against the car door, shaking her head in refusal. "I'll wait for you in the car."
Amelia Shaw's lips curved into a smile. This couldn't be better. At least she knows her place. This way, she could spend time alone with Thomas Shannon, without that annoying third wheel.
Thomas Shannon's expression turned displeased, his cold aura intensifying. "Come here. We're already here; you're not allowed to back out now."
