Upon leaving the private room, Thomas Shannon flicked off some cigarette ash. "Has George Field not arrived yet?"
Charlie River said, "It's strange. Logically, George Field should have come to City T instantly to save his son, but there's been no movement from him so far."
George Field's illogical behavior was puzzling.
Just as they were about to leave Balcon Gate, Thomas Shannon's mobile phone rang. He answered, and his expression subtly changed. Whatever was said on the other end, a cold smile touched Thomas Shannon's handsome face. Hanging up, he scoffed, "Turns out, the person Frank Mitchell conspired with is none other than George Field."
