Sophie Sullivan's lips curved slightly, but she said nothing.
When Thomas Shannon entered the Restaurant, he saw Amelia Shaw furious and glaring at Sophie, as if she wanted to eat her alive.
"Thomas Shannon."
Sophie turned her head, her voice soft and sweet as she called his name.
"Hmm?" Thomas Shannon's lips curved into a pleased smile as he sat beside her.
Sophie pushed her half-finished soup toward him. "I can't drink this much. Do you want some?"
Before Thomas Shannon could answer, Amelia Shaw, unable to bear it any longer, interjected, "Thomas, that soup was specially made for the maniac by the Chief Chef. Only patients can drink it."
In other words, you shouldn't drink it!
Only patients can drink it.
Thomas Shannon was not oblivious to the rivalry between the two women: one who was by his side every night, and the other who was far less important.
Thomas Shannon knew perfectly well who mattered more.
