William Guillen glanced sideways at Fluffy Zane, his eyes narrowing slightly as a smile touched his lips.
Fluffy Zane's heart pounded, a mix of nervousness and a tiny flicker of anticipation rising within her.
"I don't lack female companions. Do you understand?"
This was the most straightforward rejection possible.
Fluffy Zane's expression turned awkward. She turned her head, pretending to gaze at the scenery outside the car window. "Then just pretend I never asked."
She tried to act more nonchalant, to avoid pressuring him so intensely.
But she couldn't manage it. If she possessed even a shred of nonchalance, she wouldn't have allowed herself to sink this deep.
By now, she had already sunk so deep, she was beyond saving herself.
Silence filled the compartment for a moment.
Just as they were approaching Fluffy Zane's manor, William Guillen's mobile phone rang.
He casually picked up his phone and answered, "Hello?"
