Amelia Shaw's face changed drastically. She anxiously took a few steps forward and, losing her composure, grabbed Charlie River's arm. "What happened to Thomas? Is he injured?"
Charlie River's brows furrowed slightly, his gaze shifting downward to the hand she was clutching.
Realizing her lapse in composure, Amelia Shaw apologetically let go of his hand. "Charlie River, please tell me, is Thomas really injured?"
"Yes," he replied.
Thomas Shannon was injured?
Deep concern filled Amelia Shaw's eyes. "Is it serious? Doesn't he have bodyguards? How did he get hurt?"
One question after another bombarded him.
Charlie River merely said evasively, "The Young Master is resting now, Miss Shaw. It's not a good time to disturb him."
With that, he turned and walked away.
Amelia Shaw watched Charlie River's retreating figure. What did he mean, it wasn't a good time for *her* to disturb him?
Could it be... that maniac was in the medical office?
