Charlie River entered, his expression solemn.
Thomas Shannon glanced sideways at Sophie Sullivan, his cold eyes sweeping over her. "Maniac, make me a cup of tea."
Sophie Sullivan stood up and walked out.
If he wanted to send her away, he should have just said so. Making tea? Why didn't he just say he wanted wine?
Once the door was shut, Charlie River reported in a grave tone, "Young Master, there has been a major fire at the hospital where George Stanford is staying. The number of casualties is still increasing, and George Stanford hasn't been found yet..."
"What did you say?" Thomas Shannon's eyes darkened. "A fire?"
"Yes, a fire broke out today."
After a pause, Charlie River said, "I can't shake the feeling that this fire is very suspicious."
Thomas Shannon sneered. "Have you forgotten? Today was the day the maniac was supposed to have her surgery."
