"Maniac, don't be too wicked." Thomas Shannon slapped her hand away.
"That's because you saw with your own eyes how they mistreated me. It was a miracle I managed to hold on until you returned to stand up for me." Sophie's expression turned cold. "If you had returned two days later, you might have seen my corpse."
The maids were terrified. Corpse? These words undoubtedly amounted to accusing them of a serious crime.
"Young Master, it's not true! Please don't listen to the maniac's one-sided story. We didn't do anything to her!" The maids, terrified, kowtowed repeatedly.
If she hadn't experienced it personally, being the litigant, Sophie would have almost believed their words.
Furious, she kicked away the maid kneeling before her. "Liars have to swallow a thousand needles. Do you want to try?"
The maids cried out, tears streaming down their faces, "Young Master, we didn't!"
