Eighty years ago, a young woman who worked in a small, temporary food stall on the street had a conversation with the Red Devil Warlord. The warlord had just returned from a victorious battle with some bandits, all of whom he'd sent into the Yellow River. He stopped by the stall for some food. Dressed like anyone else, no one recognized him; very few people dared to look the warlord in the face.
At the stall, he met the young woman. She was not beautiful by any measure, but her mind was fast, and she offered good conversation. They enjoyed their time together, and a friendship began. This friendship soon grew into something more when they realized how much they had in common.
The warlord finally revealed his identity. At first, the young woman was scared by this man, who was synonymous with death, but her fear soon morphed into love. A few months later, the two married, and the young woman became one of the warlord's concubines.
