Chapter 2 - The Search: Finding

Ever since he looked through the attic he has been getting the constant pain in his head. It had only been a week. Jonas felt he needed to continue, although his head urged him not to look further. So far he had clues and as he was going around town looking for more clues; the ache continued. That time he asked around for those knowing his family and his grandmother. He asked where the guy was going to be staying to those that had some standing. When he finally saw him he had the urge to go to him and talk. It was as if he wanted to go; talk to someone he had known his whole life or even a close family member he wanted to reconnect with.

He felt a sharpened pain even more, then before when he was closer to the man. The man came up to him asking if he was alright. His head shot up looking at him now, "I think I am alright, it is just I have a slight headache." A small smirk had shown quickly on the man's face. He thought he saw wrong and ignored it. "So who are you? I see you came to town and I wanted to ask who you were." He glanced down holding his hand out, "I am William T. North and it is nice to meet you." His smile looked like it was not so kind, overly friendly but like he was amused at his chance to come over.

William gestures to the cafe at the corner, "Do you want a coffee or something over there, so we can talk?" Jonas nods not making too much of a sound pretending that the headache was something slight like a quick brain freeze from something really cold.

William smirks and takes his wallet out, "What do you want to drink?" Jonas thanks him and gives William some money for the cashier refusing for William to pay for everything. Jonas motions William to sit after they both get something to drink.

"Did your family live here before or is there a relative we are both connected too?" Jonas sips on his latte and William sips on his coffee at the same time. "You don't remember?" William smirks at Jonas. William drinks more of his coffee and puts it down waiting for Jonas to answer. "What are you talking about? What am I supposed to remember? I saw Gram's pictures with someone that might be your grandfather, but that is it." William frowns a bit then turns it back to a smirk, "Oh yeah, my family has known yours for years." Jonas looks directly at William, "If that is the case why is this the first I am meeting you? Or me knowing anything about this connection?" William puts his head in his hands, "Well about a year ago after your parents' died I had just moved to another state. I had to take care of many other things since my father died and legally I had to take on this and it was hard."

"Well, I want us to be connected together again, if that is alright?" Jonas grabs onto William's hand. William grabs back at his hands, "I would love that!" Jonas smiles at William. They then go to another location that Jonas pointed out since William was not there for such a long time. "Yeah, the the hardware store was moved and the old one is torn down for a community garden which many people enjoy now." William smiles and his eyes seem to glow slightly again.

They both hung out and toured around town going from place to place. At the end of the day William dropped Jonas at his own house, "You did not have to drop me off here I could have split somewhere in the middle." William smiles, "I wanted to walk with you more, so I used that as an excuse to go with you."
