Chapter 7 - PART 5: WALKING IN FREEDOM

The days after Felicia's prayer felt strange—but beautiful. It wasn't a sudden switch from darkness to dazzling light, but it was real. A quiet peace had moved into her heart. The guilt that had once screamed now only whispered… and even when it tried to grow louder, Felicia had a new voice inside her—stronger, gentler, steadier.

She started waking up early—not out of obligation, but desire. Her Bible, once dusty on her shelf, became a close companion. Every verse seemed to speak directly to her heart. Words like *"There is now no condemnation"* and *"My grace is sufficient for you"* felt like warm blankets wrapped around her soul.

Ann kept checking in. Some mornings, they'd pray together over voice notes. Other days, Felicia would just send a message: "Still standing." And that alone was victory.

But the journey wasn't without battles.

One night, alone in her room, the old temptation returned. The lies whispered again—*"It's just once. You can ask for forgiveness after."*

Her heart pounded. Her body tensed. But this time, she didn't run to sin—she ran to her Savior.Felicia knelt beside her bed and cried. Not out of shame—but desperation. *"Lord, I don't want this anymore. I want You more than a moment of pleasure. Help me choose You."*

She fell asleep on the floor, exhausted but at peace.

The next morning, she texted Ann:

*"I fought last night… but I didn't fall. Jesus helped me. I'm still free."*

Ann replied instantly:

*"That's the Spirit of God in you, girl! You're not just surviving—you're living free."
