"Because in the vast universe, we are so small, so no matter what we do, we like to pursue meaning—what is the meaning of existence, what significance does doing something have, what is the meaning contained in a painting, what thoughts does a story convey.
We have created art, culture, ethics, and laws, and imbue them with profound and lasting meaning, transcending materiality to feel the weight and endurance on a spiritual level and gain satisfaction, but all of this is actually an illusion."
