Sitting in the car, Clyde Summers shoved a bag of fresh blueberries into her lap, "They're all washed, have a bite to fill your stomach first."
Atra Blanc had never seen such fruit before. She picked one up, curiously squeezed it, then popped it into her mouth.
"Hmm... What kind of fruit is this?" Atra asked, "It's tart but quite tasty."
Fruits available on the market now were relatively limited, mostly apples, bananas, pears, and tangerines. Even pineapples were considered rare.
Clyde started the car, grabbed a few from her lap with one hand, and tossed them into his mouth, "I think they're called blueberries. If you like them, I'll bring you more next time. I still have a big basket at home, no one's eating them."
Atra said, "Even if you bring them to me, I can't finish them, and it'd be a waste if they go bad."
"No worries, these can be made into jam."
"But I don't know how to make jam."
"I do." Clyde smiled, glancing at her, "I'll show you how next time."
