Clyde Summers' heart pounded wildly as he hurriedly put on his denim jacket, splashed some water on his hands, and quickly ran them through his hair to make it look cooler.
Just then, two girls walked in, and Clyde struck a pose: "Watching a movie? It'll be 0.08 dollars per show, 0.15 dollars for new releases, five dollars for a Private Room with complimentary soda and sunflower seeds."
Noticing Atra Blanc's bewildered expression, Clyde's grin grew wider.
"Boss, can you give us a discount?" The girl next to Atra tried to bargain.
Clyde smiled at Atra and said, "Nope."
The girl was taken aback, then heard Clyde continue: "But it can be free. How could I charge friends? Head up to the second floor; the Private Room there is clean."
The girl was puzzled, following Clyde's gaze to look at Atra, and suddenly understood: "Ah, Atra! So your friend runs the video rental shop, huh!"
Atra was extremely embarrassed, glancing at Clyde before looking away, "He's not really my friend…"
