A little while later, she notices that the little boy named Gilbert from yesterday is also there. He is dressed in the same color, and since it's dark, Jane hadn't seen him at first.
The kid sure gets up early.
The old folks see Jane, but their movements don't stop. They smile and ask a question.
Jane doesn't understand, feeling embarrassed, until the little boy runs over and says, "My great-grandma is asking if you're up early because you didn't sleep well last night."
"Ah... no, no, I slept well last night, I'm just... used to waking up early," Jane says uneasily, "Getting up early is nice, breathing in fresh air."
The old person smiles at her.
