Wendy Hanson covered her face with her hands, tears streaming down her face, "Why not? I hate her! If it weren't for her, Brother Baron would be mine! I am the one who was originally engaged to be Brother Baron's wife in the Lawrence Family. What is she? Just lucky, that's all. Otherwise, she'd still be a bumpkin from a small town, an illegitimate daughter who shouldn't see the light of day! What right does she have to stand beside Brother Baron?"
"I hate her, I hate her, I wish she would just die right now!"
Mother Hanson was frightened by her outburst, angrily rebuking, "Enough! Can you even say such things? No matter what she was before, she is now the Madam of the Lawrence Family and the heir of the Habsden Family!"
Oh, if Enna Clark were just a bumpkin, an illegitimate daughter, Wendy liked Baron Lawrence to such an extent, she'd definitely find a way to drive Enna Clark away and make room for Wendy.
